The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition is the world’s oldest international school writing contest.

Who Can Enter?

Students aged 15–19 from Commonwealth countries

How to Enter?

  • Choose a topic from the official Junior or Senior theme list
  • Write an original essay (750 words for Junior, 1,500 for Senior)
  • Submit online as a Word or PDF file
  • No entry fee; only one submission per student
  • Create an account or log in to Succeed to go to the Competition.

Awards & Recognition

Certificate, London trip for winners, publication
