Future Scientists at Eton College is for students aged 12–16 who are eager to deepen their understanding of the natural world. Covering biology, chemistry, and physics, the programme gives you the chance to run experiments, test ideas, and build key scientific skills such as careful observation, data analysis, and clear explanation. The experience extends well beyond traditional lessons, blending theory with practical enquiry and developing the critical thinking needed to understand how science influences everyday life.
Future Scientists at Eton College is for students aged 12–16 who are eager to deepen their understanding of the natural world. Covering biology, chemistry, and physics, the programme gives you the chance to run experiments, test ideas, and build key scientific skills such as careful observation, data analysis, and clear explanation. The experience extends well beyond traditional lessons, blending theory with practical enquiry and developing the critical thinking needed to understand how science influences everyday life.
Hands-on experiments, guided enquiry, and structured explanation; planning experiments carefully, recording data accurately, and drawing critical conclusions; discussing recent advances in science and the ethical and social questions they raise; collaborating on group investigations and presenting findings in the style of professional scientists.
18 hours of subject-specific academic content per week with an experienced subject tutor (interactive and hands-on lessons)
Time To Shine group projects, culminating in an end-of-the-week ceremony with student presentations
Excursions including Thorpe Park, London and Oxford
Social programme with multi-activities (football, basketball, tennis, arts and crafts) and specialist activities (off-site bowling, talent shows, capture the flag, secret cinema)
Numerous opportunities to develop English language skills through the academic programme
End of course report and certificate of achievement
